About Us

The Curious Table was first born in September 2013 and sits in the market square in the beautiful town of Easingwold. Eddie has combined his background in hospitality from a young age with his passion for good coffee and has the support of a great team around him. The name itself becomes clear when you visit… each table base is unique with handmade table tops detailing the name of your chosen base! The table bases include industrial drills, Singer sewing machine stands, railway sleeper & track and pulley wheels to name a few.

The Curious Table - one-of-the-table-bases

We serve everything from coffee and cake to hearty lunches and sharing platters with everything in between. View our latest menu here. Most dietary requirements can be catered for with soya milk and gluten free options usually available (99% of the time but we can’t commit to always – we’re just so popular we do sometimes run out!). We can even adapt the menu for the fussiest of eaters.

The coffee is Eddie’s baby and it’s roasted just down the road at York Coffee Emporium. It’s a unique blend of coffee including beans from Vietnam, Guatemala, Brazil & Ethiopia giving it a distinctive flavour… come and try it for yourself! The little piece of homemade brownie served with it is enough to tempt anyone! For those who don’t love coffee (we know there are some out there yet to be convinced!), we serve a beautiful range of loose leaf teas.

Our Brownies have won a 2 star great taste award for 2017… this will not shock many of our customers!

The Curious Table are also the proud winners of  ‘Best Customer Service’ in the 2015 Flavours of Herriot Country Awards.
